Mehdi Hasan challenged ANC stalwart Baleka Mbete on whether or not, within the twenty-five years since apartheid, her party has betrayed Nelson Mandela's legacy and therefore the dreams of South Africa's rainbow nation. South Africans across the country’s many divides described as embarrassing. The former speaker of parliament came across as racist, defensive, arrogant and removed from reality.
