Immediate action must be taken regarding the standards in Public Hospitals in South Africa. Philip van Staden the MP of FF Plus and head spokesperson for health has reported that more than 3832 deaths in Gauteng hospitals due to negligence and bad medical practice. This High number should not be acceptable and we need to start holding the people in charge accountable.
There is a huge problem with the state of public hospitals in South Africa. The buildings are falling apart and the staff have to deal with old and non-working medical equipment. There is also a big shortage of essential medicine and almost all public hospitals are overcrowded.
There is untrained staff on duty or they don't show up for work but still collects the paycheck at the end of every month. Healthcare should be one of the biggest concern in South Africa. There are a lot of patients not getting the help they desperately need.
Philip van Staden said that the current healthcare is out of control and urgent intervention needs to be taken to get the problems resolved.
